April and May.

In Rang a haon we have been busy beavers in the months of April and May. Along with all our learning, we had our school tour to GR8 in Castleblaney. This included an indoor play area, bowling and we even got to watch a film :) On return Ms. Moore held a competition in class to see who could write the best 'Recount Writing Piece' based on our adventures in the play centre. This certainly was no easy job as each and every one of the pupils in Rang a hAon put in a great effort. Well done :) Here are some pictures of the cailiní agus na buachaillí enjoying the bowling :)

Along with our school tour we also won our class stars. We were allowed to choose our treat. One Friday afternoon, we walked to Mrs. Hickey's sweet shop. We were given the opportunity to put all the learning we have done on money into practice. Each of us had 30 cent to spend and surprisingly we hadn't much change left at the end :)

Incase you're wondering we have been doing lots of work in class too. This month we have been learning all about Floating and Sinking in Science, the Sun and Summer in Geography and time and money in Maths. We also had a new pupil that arrived into class. He was very happy to join us, his name is Worrgly and he likes eats all the worries we may have. His favourite things are our mindfullness time and the cosmic yoga :)

March

The month of March has brought with it many exciting things. Between  World Book Day and our Cheolchoirm for Seachtain na Gaeilge we were very busy beavers. Although I'm surprised we got any work done with all our parties ;) We were very lucky in Rang a hAon to have a Pancake Party on Pancake Tuesday and a Go Noodle party for getting our 10 class stars in the one month.
Here are some pictures of the events so far this month :)

January and February

In Rang a haon B, we have had a busy schedule. In January we completed a project based on the Weather. We also started our new Guided Writing groups, which we were all very excited about. We enjoyed writing recounts of our Christmas holidays, talking about our New Year's Resolutions and our plans for the year ahead :)

February, brought a new season with new exciting things to learn. In February we are completing a project based on the topic of spring and we are learning about all things spring related. Between our 10 at 10am exercises and all of our work in the various different subjects we are keeping ourselves busy.  We also got a very special delivery this month, letters from our very own penpals in Loughmourne National School. This definitely made our month.

November

November:
Our theme for the month of November is 'Houses and Homes'. We have had great fun learning about the types of homes everyone in the class lives in, persuading people to live in/buy our homes using SUPER persuasive language aswell as managing to find time to act out 'Na Trí Mhuc' (Three Little pigs) as Gaeilge. We have also been doing a project on Houses and Homes on our investigation station. In Science we have been carrying out experiments based on magnetism. These were great fun! Below are some pictures of us carrying out these activities :)

On 'Odd Socks Day' we managed to raise an exceptional amount of money in aid of our sensory room in school. Rang a haon also successfully conquered the mannequin challenge :) The video of this is on the way :)
